OMG, that is one huge hoverfly enjoying the benefits of the dill in this terrific closeup, Helle. I like its striped thorax and translucent wings.

Yes to the above. This reminds me of the many insect macros you posted some years back. You had lots of them back then. Vivid closeup of the fly's eyes, body, legs, wings. And, this close up, we can see how he balances on the spindly flower stems---so precariously. And he's eating a flower. I wonder if they eat the nectar or the petals. (Are they like bees? I really don't know.) A big zoomed in closeup, and it's revelatory.
