I read once that when a wagon broke down and was unable to be repaired, that is where they settled. Many towns and ranches began that way. The tradition was to place the broken wagon wheel at the entrance to your ranch.

Yes, it could be a hard time travelling this way. Beautiful render, Harry.

Oh, I love this. Love the almost doll-like quality of the people and dogs---doll-like because they're so clean and uncomplicated, even though your light and shadow are quite complex. But it feels very simple and pure, for all the detail you gave it; and I love the covered wagons and how they feel like models made for a display. Also, lots of lines, angles and intersections in this piece. I really like this, Harry. You seemed to have such fun with these pieces. And your sky is very dramatic and with beautiful contrasts.
I'm skipping around again, so I can get a representative sampling...but as you know, I've seen every piece without fail. (And in case I don't get there soon, I loved that wild running 3D you posted in the last day or two, with the zebras and lions---you may have put it up to get it out of your files, but it was a great deal of fun, and you do running people with great gusto. You posted one soon after that of another chase---a guy with a knife followed by a bunch of prehistorics---another great fun example of someone running for their lives...I hope you had as much fun making these as it is to view them)
