Description
Another one of several fotos I took of the street fireworks in front of my condominium complex on that incredibly noisy and smoky night. Actually, my first attempt at photographing fireworks, and really basic since I was using my relatively simple and inexpensive Panasonic Lumix point and shoot camera. Ergo, no special settings or shutter speeds involved here. Timing was of the essence, was lucky on some of the shots, but overall I didn't do too well in that area. In any event, this is one of the better shots out of the dozen or so I snapped.

Your shots of this night are a lot better than you think. Given the problems you faced, you got the feel and suddenness of fireworks in a dark sky, unplanned and intrusive; and you got the smoke too. Plus what looks like smoke from a launch site behind that car. (I don't remember if that's where the fireworks come from.) Your shots of this night feel like real fireworks. Good fast eye on these, Harry.
