I just thought that with the addition of a twin 50 cal. machine gun turret on top and a little extra armor plating, this could be a wicked cool inner city troop carrier, Mike!!!!!! And yes of course some kind of camo-paint scheme (duh!) Anyway, this looks great just the way it is!

I never understood why they put feet guards on the vertical body metal above the step but not on the surface of the step

Not sure Richard. I've seem just a few with them also on the step but it looks like those were an add on.
