Wow. Quite a difference. I keep flipping between the before and after shots and thinking are they really the same house, although I know they are. you did quite a bit on it. nice job.

turned it into something very livable. I wish I was out of the city where code enforcement is not an issue so I could make some changes to my house.

I dealt with code enforcement for years when I was still working. some things are very unreasonable

Here, it's the same. The wall you see at the terras, was the bathroom. My grandfather build that addition last. His second wife didn't like the outhouse and wanted something else then a washbasin. It was build with an official permit. I was not allowed to do that. It was deeper than now allowed for the house on that spot (distance to the neighbor)(18,39 m now 15 m) And it was planned to have the terras on the roof of the carport with a door on the first level. "Not withstanding the fact that none of your neighbors have complained about the roofterras we don't allow it because you could have an in view of their property." Their house are on higher ground they can see in my bedroom and the nearest neighbors are family. You have to understand.
