Description
Another one of several fotos I took of the street fireworks in front of my condominium complex on that incredibly noisy and smoky night. Actually, my first attempt at photographing fireworks, and really basic since I was using my relatively simple and inexpensive Panasonic Lumix point and shoot camera. Ergo, no special settings or shutter speeds involved here. Timing was of the essence, was lucky on some of the shots, but overall I didn't do too well in that area. In any event, this is one of the better shots out of the dozen or so I snapped.
And the holiday revelers planted this one right in the center of the relatively busy street, ignoring any consequences to their actions.

Cool shot of the fireworks.
Yep - more proof that people in general are idiots, Selfish, inconsiderate idiots. As long as they are having a good time, nothing else matters.

yes to Rod and you---we have it in Chicago too: Kids and adults setting of fireworks in populated places, like it's harmless fun. But again you captured the suddenness and blast of a fireworks explosion, esp as it happens right in the center of an abandoned street. In fact, in this pic, it looks like no one is outside, for miles. (They may be, but your pic makes it look like all humanity vacated the area.) I love the smoke behind it, like a natural backdrop to set off the white blast. Fine job on this mini-series of fireworks shots in your neighborhood...they must've been piercing too...
