Description

I was sitting my my favorite chair and something about this caught my eye. I mean, I see it every day, but for some reason this particular day I saw it differently. I have 15 African Violets on the shelf and this painting is in the background. A young woman in town does some beautiful work and the day I walked past her gallery and saw this print, I walked right in and bought it!! Obviously, the background is a Van Gogh-ish look. Her interpretation was just so wonderful!! But it was the bridge that drew me in. It's Fernbridge, the bridge that crosses the Eel RIver from Fortuna to Ferndale. I've crossed it in a car, on a bike, and a couple of years ago when it flooded and they closed the bridge, we got to walk on it. It's been thru several floods, and it just stays put----good thing!!!!

This is a great compo! It's funny how we suddenly see something familiar differently!

I love that bridge, and she did a brilliant job of "Van-Gogh-ing" it up. Thanks for sharing this!
