Description
design was changed in 1948 I think. many American cars stayed the same at the end of WWII as the 1941's because of not having time to redesign and retool the factory.
these cars are for display purposes as decoration. one restaurant has a gas station motif
here if a car has a flat tire or looks serviceable , the city will tow it after giving one warning. also parked on grass

These old cars were built like tanks. We had a '46 Buick which we bought upon returning to the US after the war, which was no small feat, but my Pop had some connections :) It's a shame that they are just letting these cars rot.

Back when cars were really substantial and safer in ways than they are now. My grandmother had an old 1937 Plymouth with running boards and a foot push starter, and a choke. It was her "fishing car". It was an amazing car! Every time I see a really old car, I always think of her and the fun we had. Thanks bud, appreciate the memories. Great capture too!

Love this!

I have a feeling there will still be replacement floor and wing panels for this classic motor. I'd have a go at restoring it, Richard! Bit of soda, stripping down the chassis and some powder coating should bring it back brand new!

A unique yard decoration for sure.. Neat photo of this old classic, Richard!
