Very witty, nice one.

Outstanding idea and image. You never want a cockroach to be late for the party. Clockroach is a card in a deck of cards from a game known as the Eternal Card Game. It is a game played by people much younger than you or me.

Never heard, Mark. Aren't we too outdated indeed:)) Thank you for your everlasting support!

"Cockroach" comes from the Spanish, "cucaracha"---and its etymology is rather obscure and not as interesting as I'd like. (I should call up the speakers from 2000 years ago and tell them to do a better freakin' job!) In any case, I love the reminder of time; and that you put a digital clock on one of our oldest, most durable insects! I'm sure the cockroach kingdom would welcome the update. (They're so old because their speed and ability to live in almost any conditions guaranteed their living through just about anything nature threw at them; so they've apparently been around a long time.) And you made it into an old, decayed textbook image---like it's a picture that students saw but paid no attention to. Love what you did with this!
