“What!?!” Kaulen roared in frustration in response to the knock at his chamber door. He had retired just an hour earlier after dismissing Willow with a warning to be gone in the morning and was in no mood for another irritation. “Excuse the intrusion commander,” the clearly uneasy militiaman who opened the door uttered with obvious trepidation, “but you had better see this.” Getting up from reviewing the reports scattered across his writing table with a grumbling growl, he followed the man outside where he found nearly his entire troupe gathered. Scowling, he pushed his way through the crowd to see what had them so fascinated but was stopped dead in his tracks by the breathtaking sight before him; there in the center of the open courtyard was the nearly unnaturally beautiful drow priestess, completely naked, dancing almost erotically around a bastard sword stuck in ground while she sang a wordless melody bathed in moonlight. As he watched, she circled the sword in an ever-increasing pace, seemingly lost in some-kind of delirium, then he spotted Willow standing to one side, obviously as entranced by the wanton spectacle as his men and stormed towards her, demanding; “What in the name of Tyr, the Even-Handed, is going on here?” “That’s how she prays to her goddess, Eilistraee,” the paladin replied nonchalantly without once taking her eyes off the mesmerizing drow. “That’s a prayer?” he snarled in disbelief, finding himself being enthralled by the sight of the drow priestess’s nubile body whirling around the sword at a frantic pace. Then suddenly Taenya stopped and dropped to her knees in a supplicant pose for several long minutes, before turning her face upward to the moon with a look of elation. Finally, she rose unsteadily to her feet and retrieved her sword, showing no sign of concern that a crowd of men were staring hungerly at her delightful naked body, turning away, she wearily retreated until vanishing from sight inside an opaque dome, some twenty feet wide and ten feet high, that had mysteriously appeared in the far corner of the courtyard. “Alright… the show is over… back to what you should be doing!” Kaulen commanded his men in a near deafening roar, setting them scattering like a pact of frightened cats. Then he turned back to Willow and questioned with a mix of disbelief and shock; “She does that every night?” “Apparently,” the paladin responded with a casual shrug, “she did the same thing last night… and when I asked about it she acted like it was the most natural thing in the world to do. In case you haven’t noticed, drow don’t seem to have much of a concept of modesty… or at least the priestesses of Eilistraee don’t.” “Then I’m glad you will not be here for a repeat performance tomorrow night… I don’t think my men could take it. Half of them are probably ready to convert to this Eilistraee right now and run off to join this pilgrimage of hers,” he scowled, starting to turn away, but spun back and added; “Make sure she stays in that thing, whatever it is, unless she’s dressed… and keep my men out of it!” “Don’t worry,” Willow explained with a coy smile. “Coran told me that only those inside the ‘hut’, as he calls it, when it’s activated can enter it… so only he, Taenya and I can.” Storming back to his chamber, Kaulen couldn’t drive the image of the drow priestess’s glorious naked body from his mind and knew his men would be haunted by same bewitching vision; his only consolation was that she would be gone by tomorrow… along with the almost equally beautiful, but irritating, paladin, the monk and their drow prisoner.
