Description
The Dragoi woman glared at Tin baring her teeth. "Gracious assistance!? Gracious assistance!?? You...Huuumans..(she spit) you are the most greedy, self-centered, destructive species of all the planets! Grant, there are a small handful of you that are decent caring beings, but all in all, most all of you are horrid monsters to say the least! I'll give you and your offspring a quick exit in exchange for MY garlic. I should just give you a good blast and fry you to a crisp! But I don’t want to harm MY precious garlic."
Upon saying that, Samarah gave the most interesting show in changing into her dragon form. She was huge, and frightful to behold. Copper stared up at her in amazement, and almost peed himself! Tin only stood there with his mouth gapped open.
Samarah took a deep breath and let out a windy belch. Copper and Tin turned their heads and cupped their hands across their noses. The dragon's breath reeked of garlic. After things settled and they contained themselves, Sam crouched down to the ground and just below her throat area, a large "pouch" opened up.
Copper looked at Tin as a big smile spread across his face. Tin motioned Copper to step in and they both jumped into the pouch, which they found very comfortable inside.
Once Sam felt they were safely settled, Sam then looked to the sky and quickly sprung upward. Off they went in search for the portal which would lead them to other worlds.
There were many trees sprinkled across the ground and below she caught a glimpse of movement. She could see that it was Norma and Jill making their way thru the trees. She saw them stop and look up. Norma started waving at her frantically. Jill must have communicated to Norma, somehow, who this dragon was. The dragon saw a clearing just ahead and she focused on landing there. Once she landed, it took the ladies a few minutes to arrive. She heard Tin cussing, "Remember our deal dragon!", and she gave him a low growl, warning him to shut it.
Norma and Jill reached the dragon and Norma looked at Samarah in awe. “Do you think you could give us a ride to the portal please? We would be most grateful!” Sam gave them a nod and lowered herself, the "pouch" dropped open, and they both clambered in.
They were surprised to see the man and the boy. Norma was apprehensive of Tin.
Jill saw Norma's concern and went up to Tin and greeted him happily. "Hello there 'lil bugger, fancy meeting you here." Tin greeted the small creature.
Norma saw that Jill trusted the man which made her feel at ease.
"Hello, my name is Norma".
"Hello Norma" Tin bowed graciously and said, "I am Tin, and this is my friend Copper" as he motioned to his companion.
Copper bowed to Norma and nodded his head and said "hey".
So they all made their introductions and started chatting up a storm.
Gliding thru the air...she could hear the 4 talking. Tin, she was convinced, was a despicable, ruthless human who had no right to exist. Though Jill was ok with him, even the most intuitive being could show poor judgement from time to time. He blackmailed her for criminy! Stole her garlic and blackmailed her with it! And to suggest that she would "gobble it all up too quickly", how DARE he make that assumption! The garlic was to be taken home for planting so that her people could replenish their supply of the much needed herb. "Gobble it all up too quickly indeed!" She snorted to herself. Then she thought of the boy. Tin's offspring was a different story...She felt a kindness radiating from him. There may be hope for that young human. Big Hope.
She wiped thoughts of the humans and the armadillo from her mind and concentrated on finding the portal. It will be interesting to find what awaits them once they all reach their destination.
