Hi, I'm Andrea, and I'm interested in creatures and plants both wild and tamed, and people of all sorts. I only use a compact digital camera ,as I love being able to get it into a back pocket, and not have to cart heavy kit about. I carry a Panasonic Lumix TZ series, binoculars and a hand lens almost everywhere. Most of my outings are with the dogs so I only use point and shoot.
I am getting the hang of Photoshop, thanks to some very kind folk on RR!
I have a wildlife garden in Bournemouth, Dorset, in the UK, and spend a lot of time there . I retired from teaching art to teenagers a while ago.
I'm now getting some good results with my digi compacts; it took me a while to make the switch from my old film camera, an 1960 ish Pentax Spotmatic, but the mistakes are much cheaper!
I have 4 lodgers, 3 dogs and a parrot who, as at 2017, I have had 40 years.
I has so far had 19 dogs, mostly rescues.

Thirty-six lengths? Sounds like quite a distance. Nice post work but this looks like something Superman should definitely stay a away from.
While we are on the subject of distance swimming, this from an old Firesign Theatre album:
He: My dear, we are going to Greece.
She (brightly): And swim the English Channel?

Andrea, unfortunately, I'm gonna have to move on. But I had to do at least one from the present: Loved what you did with this. The dayglo green and those purples, and the white rust, etc, make this a terrific graphic-om-steroids. Great shape to begin with, but it glows in your rendition. Another vibrant postwork from you...And your workout regimen is really strong! I need to do that! (I do pull-ups and sit ups, but I have to do a lot of massage afterwards. I'm not in as good a shape as you are.) And I'd never call it "leisure". (I think the international term is "torture," and I'm pretty sure it's against the geneva conventions.) Great to comment here as always...next time I'll get more!

delightful postwork on this image! It seems that Mark (wysiwyg) enjoys the same taste of humour as I.
