Description

This image is made with Terragen. I used Worldmachine to make the terrain and softened it a bit with Terrapainter. Only postwork is the ripples in the middle of the lake (made with Photoshop). There probably should be a bit more action in the sky, or some more terrain in the background? Suggestions and comments are welcome.

The water is very good. How did you make the ripples in photoshop ?? Really a very good water. The surface of the landscape needs a little bit more bumpiness, and perhaps some greens. Also the sky could use a little more "action". Keep on going, its a great piece of work :-)

Thank you for your nice comments and suggestions, I'm glad you like the water! Raphael: The ripples were made in Photoshop 7 by: 1. selecting an oval area on the water (Lasso tool) 2. Filter > Distort > ZigZag > Style=pond ripples 3. Removing the center ripples with Eraser tool (having the original as a layer behind so that center is flat). I'll try adding more bumps. I have difficulty getting greens to look ok .. but I'll keep going :-)
