She is beautiful! And so alert! A magnificent photo of her! Thanks for sharing. My wife and I recently got adopted by a little black kitty from one of the neighbors cats. She was down there visiting one evening and made the mistake(?) of petting the little guy. She put him down and finished visiting with the neighbor, then walked up the alley to our home. When she looked around to open the back gate, here was the little kitty, we call him Bright Eyes, staring up at her and winning her heart. It didn't take him long to win my heart either. Perhaps I will have to post a picture of him here one day.

as always with your shots of your cats, you not only celebrate (and, sadly for you and them, memorialize) your beloved cats, you make beautiful photos as well. Molly looks like a beautiful cat, really nice coloring, fur and expression, and she has great eyes and big ears! Your shot has great light, she's in deep shadow and then intense light: I love the light under her face---this could pass for a film noir shot, if she were a detective (ever considered getting her a fedora?)---and you have the right side in deep black and the other side in light, with the light intensely on the left-side lighting up the wallpaper patterns beautifully. The wooden moulding is a perfect divider too. A really fine shot and lighting; and of course a capture of a beautiful kitten. I wish you may years of love and joy with her, and I wish her many years of a joyous life...I hope all is going as well as it can, Barb, I never forget what you're doing, and I hope life grants you peace and joy and inspiration wherever it possibly can---you're among the small number of people who caretake, which is a very difficult, very consuming job, and you deserve medals for what you do. I wish you lots of blessings, you deserve them. Take care...it's a beautiful shot!
