La Statue Gundam géante représente un robot géant à taille réelle de 18 mètres de haut, à l’effigie des mecha *** la série animée éponyme.
Longtemps installée devant le centre commercial DiverCity à Odaiba dans la baie de Tokyo, elle a été remplacée par un nouveau modèle en septembre 2017.
*** Le terme mecha désigne un thème de science-fiction, ayant la particularité de mettre en scène des personnages utilisant ou incarnant des armures robotisées, généralement de forme humanoïde.
