Such a pensive little gal...another beautifully created scene :) Like how she's eyeing that dove, who seems to be on a collision course with the girl...

Some may feel blue that summer is on its way out, but not I--can't stand the heat, the humidity, and this year allergies are off the scale! A cool autumn looks pretty good to me.

you use a very imposing architectural background, and it gives a grand feeling to this young woman's remembering...I love how she sits on that ledge, surrounded by two beautiful flower beds and trees and bushes with red flowers (roses?). You have a dove in here too; so, for all the pining for the fading summer, it resonates with visions of beauty and peace. And in the back of the shadow of that walkway or balcony sits a window lit by the blue of the sky...and there's light on the top of the arch too...a pining piece, but filled with gentleness and beauty. And the young woman is done with thoughtfulness and inwardness, and her dark features and clothing set her apart from the more earthen tones and reds and greens, etc...a very inviting, poignant piece
