What a beautiful creature! I lived beside a game preserve in upstate NY and every year geese would return to a large nearby pond to mate and have babies. I would walk among them feeding them bird seed and bread and they got to know me and often would eat out of my hand. The parents fiercely protected their young from other full grown geese or animals, and the mother would lead the chicks and the father would follow the last one wherever they went. They slept in the water at night because it was safe. While some people in my development hated them and tried to tell me not to feed them, I never considered that position because they were beautiful peaceful creatures.

Rien ne t'a échappé dans ce parc zoologique, et cet impressionnant oiseau donne le meilleur de lui dans le viseur de ton appareil, avec une expression dans le regard qui est une preuve de plus que la plupart des animaux ont une conscience beaucoup plus réelle et approfondie qu'on imagine, et que l'homme n'est pas au sommet de la création, faut-il le rappeler ?!
