I would appreciate, once in a while, an artistic photographic critique of my abandoned footwear postings.

A nice, sharp pair of photos, my friend. There are many untold stories in your abandoned footwear photos. The viewer is left free to imagine his or her own ideas of how this shoe came to be abandoned, and why it wound up here.
One suggestion I'd have would be to compose the photo so the shoe is a little to one side rather than right in the center. Use the 'rule of thirds' to place the shoe a bit off center. This adds to the interest, and keeps the shot from being too symmetrical. If possible, catch it at a time when the sun is low for some of those dramatic light/shadow shots I've seen from your camera.
Art / photography isn't always about sweeping landscapes or spectacular sunsets. Little slices of life like these keep us grounded, and our imaginations alive.
