Description

Plus the obligatory tie fighters coming to roost. Created 2004. Death Star is the name of a number of fictional mobile space stations and galactic superweapons featured in the Star Wars space opera franchise. The first Death Star is stated to be more than 100 km to 160 km in diameter, depending on source. It is crewed by an estimated 1.7 million military personnel and 400,000 droids. One blast of its superweapon delivers energy comparable to that released by the Sun in an entire week. Source: Wikipedia free encyclopedia.

OK - this is just too weird..... Right now, on the internet radio station I'm listening to, they're playing the 'Imperial March - Darth Vader's Theme.'

I can almost hear Director Krennic saying "Target Jedda City, single reactor ignition.."

But the DeathStar was a mere popgun next to Starkiller Base...

Great render, my friend!

The ability to destroy a planet is insignificant next to the power of the Force.

fine lighting on this big metal fortress, lots of fine shadow, and the ships approaching on the left are half doused in deep shadow, as is the right portion of the frontmost ship---you used shadow very strongly here. Your choice to go black and white helped bring out not only the form of these flying objects, but the mystery. I haven't seen all the Star Wars film, but I do remember the Death Star, and you caught it as a mysterious hovering presence in the middle of space. Fine work on this, Harry...
