Even if I was authorised I should be reluctant to open it!

Curiosity would definitely get the better of me and I would have to see behind the door.
I have not heard the term Young Pioneers for many years. As a member of the Boy Scouts of America we were taught that we were so much better than the Russians who were indoctrinated to obey the government every day in such groups as the Young Pioneers. We were so fortunate to live in a country that did not do such things.
It was only years later that I realized the Boy Scouts were not so different from the Young Pioneers.

I remember being a pioneer quite well, Mark! Next came the Komsomol. We were organized and did many good things together. Too bad there's no way now to organize young people.

the sight is beautifully decayed. Your capture is compact and intense, with greens dominating---in the wall and in the plants---and a pale but beautiful blue in the center. You captured a swath that is all about decayed paint and wood; and the sloppiness of the door has a life all its own. Surrounded by overgrown plants and maybe vines, it's a whole mini-world. This is the type of shot you take, and capture with total panache. Someone else would see it and walk on....Beautiful, complex, and mysterious....
