Description
Another concept, created 2005.
Instead of using Bryce or some other type of artificial texture as a background, I used a NASA photograph. I don't know for sure, but guessing that may be a Middle East sea or strait below.

The place this looks the most like is the entrance to the Persian Gulf. Wherever it is, that gaping blue area at the bottom is a fine contrast to all that pink-toned earth, and to the lit up ship. The main ship almost looks like an ornament (even though it's massive, and clearly not a tree ornament). Nice contrast; and the sky has big white splotches for stars and galaxies, etc. You have a real feel for imagery of this type, and your sense of space in them is totally attuned.
