Description
Síf, goddess of the earth, harvest and bounty, was famed for her shining golden hair. The Prose Edda, Skáldskaparmál, tells the tale of how one day the trickster Loki shaved her head while she slept as a prank. Her husband Thor threatened to kill Loki, but Loki convinced the thunder god to spare him if he could find an even fairer head of hair for Síf. Loki then persuaded the sons of Ivaldi, dwarven smiths, to create a head of hair wrought from gold. They also fashioned Skidbladnir, the ship of Freyr, and Gungnir, the spear of Odin.
Took a while to achieeve the effect of the golden hair; I ended up using Propschick's Elleth hair model (over on DAZ), applying the metallc mats from Calida's shaders for the specular and reflection effects, then reapplying the hair bump and transparency maps... it has more or less worked out! The cape and jewellery are mostly modded from Esha's "Delira" over on DAZ, using some of my own textures. The dress is Optitex conforming dress, again modded.

Delightful... Not exactly how she was portrayed in the Marvel films!

Yes I always wondered why Marvel chose to name a dark-haired warrior Sif. As far from ther original attributes as possible, pretty much! It would have made more sense to have her as Freyja who is as close as the Norse pantheon has to a war goddess.
