Faes are known for their youthful appearance – even though they may be hundreds of seasons old. Sometime between the age of 12 and 25 faeries go through what is known as “The Change” which forever freezes their age appearance to the time they go through The Change. Faes can be found on all continents of Mernac and many of her islands, but it is thought that the island continent of Ooloo is where the gods first created them. They usually live in small groups of 20-100 females and are almost always found in heavily wooded areas away from any other type of civilization. The exception to this is Tobernian faeries in the Kingdom of Paizes. This Kingdom, composed of multiple large cities, came into existence at the end of the Faerie Wars when most male faeries rebelled against the females who led most of the virtually defenseless fae settlements throughout Mernac. Paizes was established to serve as a stronghold to ensure no force could ever threaten fae existence again, as happened during the Faerie Wars.....
