Anglais (traduction automatique) Hello, and thank you for coming to visit me!
I live in the south of France, in the Tarn. I have always been passionate about images, especially photography (ah, black and white film ...).
For a few years, I created images with 3D software: Poser of course (Poser4 at the start ...), Cinema4D, Vue. You can see some of these images at the start of my gallery on Renderosity.
Then, with age and fatigue helping, I returned to my first graphic love: photography.
I especially like to show what is not always considered interesting: insects, animals that we meet without seeing them, and if possible to make a portrait of them that we enjoy seeing.
I also really like the architecture, especially religious, that I discover during my rare travels
My partner Danielle is also present on Renderosity, under the pseudo of Leije

Wonderful capture of this interesting capital...looks like the subjects are all animals...baboon, cat...perhaps simply a flight of fancy by the sculptor. Certainly they are not gargoyles such as those that adorn many religious edifices such as Notre Dame...

Or, as modern day conspiracy theorists would like to say, 'they could be alien life forms from another planet or dimension!' Raises many possibilities for we modern viewers! Wonderful photo, Jean! thanks for sharing!

An ancient pillar with a creature, the same as an artist today, just a different time with different tools. The human imagination transcends, a pillar with a creature...

Wonderful pillar capitell. The figural representation is really interesting. At first I thought that was an anteater. Only he has no horns. LOL Very nice photo, Jean-Claude.

Love these creatures that look so devils like. They are the opposit of the green man that shows also on collums as men faces in leafs. One tells about death and the other about birth. They are like the water devils on the Notre Dame that spit the bad from the cathedral where the green man tells about birth and bloom. They are found all ready in the year 1000 after Christ. The green man is still often seen in the Toscane, which might show a relation to the Roman Catholic church in Italy. A great shot my friend ;)

I have always been amazed at the talent required to sculpt, especially with early sculptures when the tools they had were so crude. This is simply awesome.
