Marcus woke up. Unsure of who or what had hit him. With a deep breath, he stood his feet and called out for his daughter. No answer. Not the easy mission he had originally thought it was. This is when the fear hit him. The next few minutes he kept yelling his daughter's name as well as trying to reach his son with his thoughts. Finally in frustration he punched the nearest wall to him, focusing all his telekinetic might in his fist. The fact that the wall stood and the absolute pain he was now in, Marcus started to form a grim theory in his head. When he tried his ability on a piece of candy wrapping, he had enough evidence to prove that his special abilities weren't working. Any other man in Marcus' position would have been driven to more fear, but this reassured him. If it was happening to him, it was most likely happening to his family and they had trained more not utilizing their gifts in the past year than they had with, even the inexperienced Nyomi, his youngest was more than up to the task if anything was happening.
