either way, today was my first time to see one plus be able to take pictures.
it was in a relative dark area on Bodie's water can under the patio cover. when I moved the can out into the sun she did not like it at all and moved in a shaded area finally disappearing

Interesting shot, Richard! I've never seen a ladybug with a gray body. I've seen a couple that were black, but this is a new one on me. Great find!
