I like the freedoms you took with their faces, using washes and intense segments, getting (once again) a kind of corroded copper look. And I also like the areas where you let the washes drip down the face or nose, or on the lips (esp on the left-side portrait). Intense portraits for simple gazes. You must've had an intense eye for portraiture back then, because these few samples are quite penetrating. And your 'crop' (if you cropped at all) brings your faces right into our space. Intense exploratory portraiture...
