Well for the last several weeks we have been doing private interviews with guitar players from around the world to find that one special person to play in our all girls band. We really didn't have to go that far because we found our new rhythm guitar player right here in our own back yard. Her name is Sheri Lyn. She is 26 years old. She attended San Jose State University and Santa Clara University earning Bachelor Degrees in Music and Philosophy, respectfully. She also attended Stanford where she got both her Masters and PhD in acoustics. She was a child prodigy with perfect pitch and a near eidetic memory. She is going to work out just fine with our group (LOL). As for her guitar playing, well let's just say she can do it all. She grew up on the local sound like the Doobie Brothers, CCR, Carlos Santana and Jefferson Airplane but her favorite musician is Leo Kottke. She is just as much at home playing electric or acoustic, rhythm or lead. As you keen observers will note, Sheri Lyn is beautiful but she is not quite as buxom as the rest of the ladies. NOBODY in this house has a problem with that, not even the management. She DOES have one other special characteristic. Her voice is like half an octave lower than most women and just as sultry as anyone could find. Besides being a "leg man", I just LOVE a sexy voice (heavy sigh. . .) By her own admission she can't sing a lick (LOL), but that won't be a problem. Her audition took most of the afternoon. She stayed for dinner and we decided to take some photos before she left. We took her upstairs to one of the empty bedrooms which will be all hers until we get the logistics figured out. Usually we have two girls to a room. We took some stock photos and explained to her that clothing is optional and she kind of just nodded acceptance of that idea. (We shall see!) This is a lot more than I wanted to write but I wanted you folks to get to know Sheri Lyn as quickly as possible and accept her into the family as we all have. Now it's off to find a drummer.
