BIOHi all...welcome to my homepage. Please check out the gallery and I do urge you to investigate some of my favourite artists...in my opinion they are awesome, the best of the best and true inspirations.
I started in Bryce and Poser, but have moved on to Cinema for my 3d work and am developing a serious interest in Matte Painting in Photoshop. My 3d modelling skills are basic in the extreme, and though I admire greatly people such as Rochr and Stonemason I dont seem to be able to develop beyond the beginners stage. These days I tend to concentrate on Photoshop and combining 2d and 3d elements, using Cinema to render out the 3d stuff, and I hope the results speak for themselves.
Cheers, and happy rendering...Ian

I love the design (which reminds me of artists like Peter Elson from book-cover art in the 80's) as well as the wonderful complexity and detail. On top of those admirable aspects is the fact that the image definitely evokes a story; who are these characters and what moment in the narrative of their lives does this portray?
For me, art is best when it draws you into the 'story' it seems to be conveying. That can be a single snap-shot moment complete in itself, or as in the case of this excellent piece, a moment that seems to be but one frame of many more. By chance, is this one part of a larger scope of tale-telling through art?

Thanks for the fantastic comment, I really appreciate it and am glad you like it. I do like to try and tell stories with my art, and imagine them as illustrations for an ongoing story (Doesn't always work of course, and the story being told is subjection and should be interpreted by the viewer), and I am inspired by a lot of great artists and try and study the way they put their images together. This isn't a part of continuing narrative, just a one off.
