PROBABLEMENT UNIQUE EN FRANCE, L’ÉGLISE FORTIFIÉE DU BOUPÈRE A ÉTÉ CLASSÉE MONUMENT HISTORIQUE DÈS 1862. Sa construction s’est réalisée en trois étapes : Fin XIIème : Époque romane, construction de l’église d’origine en forme de croix latine dotée d’un chœur à chevet plat. Fin XVème : L élargissement Sud de l’église a été réalisé simultanément à la reconstruction de la façade occidentale. La porte principale est centrée et de l’époque pré renaissance. Au XIXème siècle : Construction d’un second transept nord et reconstruction du chœur (1867 1968) . Construction d’un second transept sud et reconstruction totale du clocher actuel (1889 1891). PROBABLY UNIQUE IN FRANCE, THE FORTIFIED CHURCH OF THE BOUPÈRE WAS CLASSIFIED AS A HISTORICAL MONUMENT IN 1862. Its construction was carried out in three stages: Late 12th century: Romanesque period, construction of the original church in the shape of a Latin cross with a flat-headed choir.
