after 7 years i'm finally getting around in adding some info on this page. never really thought about doing it. i have been a member here since July 15th 2006, and have learned alot from fellow artists. i would have about 1300 images or so posted but have deleated many of my first pieces. and still consider myself a developing artist at this wonderful site. i'm 56 years old this year "2013" and was born in North Dakota. i have lived in Colorado since 1967 and enjoy this place alot. my stepfather was in the air force and we lived in Bermuda after North Dakotaย for a few years before coming here where he got stationed.. and so much enjoy many of the finest artist in the world who post here.. love you all and your amazing friendships we share.. lol Steve
i enjoy working with poser, i have such a dinosaur version i use,ย (p6) wish i had poser 2012 at least. i also use photoshop 7 for most of my work i post here. but more so photography is my main passion, just hope to get a camera again someday.
ย
p.s. not sure how high of a res pic i'm using for this page. take care and thanks a million you all.

Lovely scene. I don't understand why top surface of theย violin is partly invisible. Some kind of magic?

I only skip because of the length of my comments...I loved your halloween images, both from the grave and the woman in the night portico, etc...as I have all your other images...but I picked this because it was a group dedi; and because, being a musician, I always love to see how you portray musicians...
Visually, your light is terrific: It centers on her, as she glows in deep yellows and reds and oranges. And it touches the curtains behind her, doused in similar rich crimsons...and her deep orange hair stands out beautifully against the night, and her flesh tones coming through her clothes are like golden bands.
And then there's the violin: Amazing concept, Steve: It's transparent! (You also posted a woman with a bass violin, also partly transparent.) It's beautiful. It suggests the transparent qualities of music itself. She's posed formally, like a classical violinist before a performance; and the opening on the right---with the moon---takes us into eternity. Beautifully done once more, you never fail at these. It has the feel of a classical violinist, just as your rock musician pieces feel like a rock musician; and it's beautifully lit with beautiful deep colors. Terrific image....Steve, I owe you a letter and will write soon. But at least I was able to leave you a bunch of comments in the last week or so, and I hope you're doing well. Thank you for your dedis to us, and also for your very caring and affirming comments in my gallery which I appreciate greatly. You bring a lot of very positive energy here, and I'm very grateful for it all. Take care. (PS---I see this was chosen by the site: Congratulations!)
