Yeah! An amazing collection of rusting old cars just aching to get some attention! Wonderful image, Richard! The frame in the foreground reminds me of what my dad did back in the 30s when they couldn't give old cars away. He got an old Buick and converted it into a hay hauling truck. He said that old car was virtually indestructible! I suspect it would be worth quite a lot if in even fair condition today. Oh, and to cap off the deal, the salesman thru in an even older Hupmobile roadster. My dad gave that to his cousin who drove it till it died. He just left it sit where it died, out on the prairie, where it eventually just blended into the landscape and rusted away. Very sad stories, I know. But those times were very tough. No one had any money for anything.

my mother told me of the hard times people had during the depression and on top of that the dust bowl prevented people from even growing anything to eat from no rain. it was very hard during the 40's and 50's for my mother with children to raise. if it was not for neighbors giving us the veggies that they had too many of, there would have been times with nothing to eat

Is this a trailor or a truck? I guess either would need a lot of work. Getting old is hard.....

Hey, just chuck an old wooden shipping crate on top of it, throw on a pair of tires off one of those cars in the background and you're good to go! LOL

Fun shot of this....uh.....custom job, Richard!

Hard times Richard back in those days. So much more help is available now, it's hard for some of us to imagine what it must have been like to live through it.
