Description
Regarding the Drake equation. There are 1 Billion planets in our Galaxy that could potentially harbour life. That seems like a lot, but other factors come into play. The one that stands out is how long a planet can support a civilization that has become technically advanced. We base this on our own in how long we have been able to transmit Radio waves. For us that began in 1906 for the first radio broadcast, although Morse code had begun 10 years earlier.
This is a tiny amount of time in the grand scheme of things. We have to be extremely lucky to have evolved at the same rate and at the same time as other potential civilizations.

Just love your renders, Orbital. So epic in feel and so well done. My favorite; someone standing as a singular pinacle against a cosmic backgrpound.

Inspiring as usual. If you post and I haven't done anything with Bryce for a while it always makes me want to fire up that program and make an image with it. Thanks for the inspiration.
