Story / Description :

So this started with me asking Miho to dress up in a Halloween costume so that I could take some snaps of her. She said "No". I asked "Why ?". "I am not into it" came the reply. So I said "Pretty please", she said "No". I said "You will look amazing in the costume", she replied "No"... So this was getting nowhere.... Miho could see I was thinking what to say next to get her to change her mind... Suddenly she said "Get me a tricycle and I will make sure you remember the photo shoot". I had no idea what she was thinking about. "Tricycle" I said to myself. Anyway I said "Don't move" and ran out to drive to the nearby mall to buy her a tricycle. As I came back and parked, I got a message from Miho saying bring the tricycle to the photo studio at the basement. So well I hurriedly took the tricycle out of the car and went down to the basement and well I started grinning ear to ear as I entered...... there she was in the buff, looking rather cute and beautiful... She told me to give her the tricycle and handed me the camera and said start shooting........ Well, what can I say other than it was something I was not going to forget ever =)..... This is one of those photos....

About this render :

Ran into a bit of a problem with my custom skin shader. I upgraded from Octane 3.07 to 3.08 and promptly my custom skin material started to look flat and dead. So I asked Otoy support why there was a difference in the output. They said I got the old output because of the bug and that they fixed it in 3.08. So basically my skin material was working great because of a "bug" !!! WTH !? So I have been busy editing the skin material to make it work properly under Octane 3.08 and make Miho's skin look supple and alive. This is the result of the first experiment. What do you think ? Does it look good and realistic ? I do like how all the flaws are shown. I think it makes her look more real. The pose is my own. It started with the packaged pose but then I modified most of it to suit my needs. All the textures / materials including on the tricycle are custom textures / materials. This is lit by only one light. A panel light above her. There are no other light or reflectors being used. The large size of the light creates the soft shadows. The banding in the background is because of the PNG to JPEG conversion. Original was 16bit per channel so was super smooth.
