Description
In one of my recent image upload's description, I stated incorrectly that fabiana's Floors and parrotdophin's Materials could not be used in Poser 11. I was wrong. With a little bit of material modifications, they do work. Also, for the floor, one can use the simple flat square prop. It simply needs to be enlarged and positioned to be a substitute for the floor prop. I hope this allays the fears of some in using Poser 11 due to these perceived shortcomings..
This rough image illustrates how these materials work and look in Poser 11 Superfly. If you are interested in further info, please PM me.
I designated this image to "Step-by-Step" since this category comes closest to what I want to convey.

Glad you found a way to make it work! I'm fighting with getting a prop to stop looking for materials - sometimes this can be frustrating, but once you get it, it's worth all the effort! (I think.. LOL). Looks great!

Well that is given. All materials should be usable. At worst one can extract out the texture maps and map it into materials native to the application one is using. For the floor one can also just create an image with 4 squares, 2 white and 2 black diagonally and just tile it over the plane.

What you point out is true if fabi's floors and parrotdolfin's materials were simple jpg textures. They are not. They are created using a python script which combines numerous files to create a final texture. Also, P11 has something called a construct--a wall and floor combo...to use fabi's floors it is necessary to have a flat surface rectangle which the construct is not. Two ways exist to create fabi's necessary surface: one is the use of the single surface simple rectangle prop or to create a new floor prop by creating one by making a ground prop from an earlier Poser version>>exporting this ground prop as an OBJ and then importing it into P11. If someone has another way to achieve this, I am all ears.

I've been using Fabiana's and Parrotdolphin's material sets in Poser Pro 11 (for Mac) since it first came out, with no issues. However, I always apply them while in the advanced Material Room interface, and I nearly always tweak them just b/c I like tweaking materials! I run a script that removes all AO nodes, if necessary, then save the tweaked version to use in the future. Anyway, I'm glad you got the materials working for you!
