Tons of bagpipers on parade, captured 5/29/10 at the annual Scottish Festival, held at the Orange County Fair & Event Center in beautiful Costa Mesa, California.

I didn't realize it's been over a month since I've commented here (or anywhere on rr, in fact). I've seen every one of your uploads, incl some great garage doors, your continuing series of wildly packed and complex fire-vehicle shots, some stunning cloud shots, decayed car shots, more abandoned footwear, etc etc. I'll do an hour tonight then come back for more in the coming days. And though I'm doing only a few dedis right now, I'll do one for you for sure. (I wouldn't forget!) I just got a new mac, so it'll be a while before it's "adjusted," so I'm commenting on an old stuttering laptop: So if there's some sloppiness here, forgive. Your images are loud and clear though, so I can see everything perfectly...
What a crowd shot! This lines up beautifully, with the wall and the stands framing this beautifully-formed group of marching pipe players. It's really a beautiful visual capture. And you have open space on top (sky) and in the ground and wall: These 'frame' the musicians perfectly. And the musicians have white in their sleeves (or light blue), which picks up the white around them. Really well seen, Harry. And where in the world LA city get that many bagpipe players? I know LA is huge; but that many bagpipe players? I didn't know there were that many in the entire country...Amazing shot. And, from what I know of Scottish bagpipes, this had to be one loud ensemble...(every dog in the county was probably hiding under their beds)
