Description

An interesting thing about Gothic Horror is the way it externalises or reifies what is imagined or thought or felt - perhaps at a level so deep we are not aware that it exists within us and see it in all the dark places of this world. Perhaps that is why those with an especially active or tumultuous inner life are drawn to it - it gives a tangible shape to things others cannot see. This is my final spooky season render. It began as an exercise with rain and quickly became archetypal. It is of course Gamergate. A woman in the games industry opens her mouth and the Dark Lords of the Internet are enraged. Cast into the wilderness, she views the contents of her inbox.
