The story continues from my previous render... Kenta, wolf and I came to where Miho was looking at the machinery. She was deep in thought. She looked towards and said we need to get answers from him, pointing to the temporarily paralyzed bad guy still seated on the chair. She had a mischievous look and that meant this poor guy was not going to like what was going to happen one bit. She told Kenta in orc tongue what she planned to do and what Kenta would have to do. So we walked over to the bad guy on the chair and I tied his hands behind his back with a rope I had found. Then I climb onto the container and lifted the guy by his feet until he was dangling upside down (I could do so because of the special suit Miho had created for me). The guy still could not move a muscle and could not open his eyes.... and I could only imagine the terror he was feeling now having been dangled upside down without a clue as to who or what was doing this to him and what was about to come next. We could hear his heart pounding very fast. He then felt a huge hand on the back of his head as Kenta grabbed his head and his heartbeat grew even more faster and louder. Miho told Kenta where to press to de-paralyze the guy and he did do. And immediately the guys eyes popped open and focused on this ferocious and ugly green face with huge teeth looking down straight at him... he tried to scream in terror but no sound came out... His eyes darted everywhere... He then noticed Miho, the wolf and me but his mind was still struggling to comprehend this ugly green brute of a creature who was staring down at him. He just could not take his eyes of Kenta. I was translating for Kenta as Miho spoke to the bad guy. I had forgotten to pack extra universal language translators that Miho had created and well, that was not the only thing I had forgotten to pack on this hurried trip. And I cursed himself for missing out on small details like this that Miho would have never missed. Miho - "You have invaded his home and he and his kind are not happy." Bad Guy - "I.... I.... I...." Miho - "In fact here they cook and eat their enemies they capture. He says he specially likes to snack on muscular, fat free enemies like you." The bad guy's eyes almost popped out of their sockets and in a hoarse voice he screamed "Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo"... On queue Kenta, grinned at him and licked his lips... Kenta to Miho (in orc tongue) - "My queen, do you think we will be able to stop these 'humans' from destroying this place and killing my kind ?" Miho to Kenta - "Yes, I believe that. I will put an end to this and make sure it never happens again." Miho to the bad guy - "He is describing to me how he will garnish you". Kenta to Miho - "My queen, I am really worried about the others reaching the villages." Miho to Kenta - "I understand. Why don't you go back to them and gather all of them in the most remote village ? That way it will buy us time." Miho to the bad guy - "He is describing to me how they love to slow cook their enemies alive... according to him that given the best taste". The bad guy's eyes got even bigger... I thought to myself it was not possible.... I have never seen eyes get this big.... The bad guy to Miho stammering - "I.... I... I.... wi....ll d....o anything... any.....thing... Don't le... le... let hi....m coooo.... oook and eeeeeeeeeat me" Kenta brought his face right next to the guy's and started to smell him.. The bad guy to Miho stammering - "W.... wha.... what is he do... do.. ing ?" Miho to Kenta - "Go now. I, Rajib and the wolf will handle things here. We will find the other groups and take care of them". Kenta to Miho - "Thank you my queen." Miho to the bad guy - "He thinks you smell yummy and will taste yummy too." The bad guy to Miho stammering - "I... I... I..." Kenta let go of the bad guy's head, turned around and left. Once he disappeared into the woods, he broke into a run. The bad guy to Miho stammering - "Wh... wh... whe... where... i... i.... is... he... go.... go.... going... ???" Miho to the guy - "To bring the ingredients and the utensils to cook you." The guy to Miho stammering - "I ... I... wi... wi... will... do... do... do.... a...a....aaaaaaanything... a...ny....thing... P...l...e...a...s...e... s...a...v..e.. me..." Miho turned towards me and signaled. I lowered the guy to the ground.... "Talk" she said "or I will help him cook you !". The guy started talking immediately... He did not need to be asked any question, he knew exactly what was expected.... It turned out they were from a company called "T2 Mining Company" which Miho knew from her hacks of The Corporation's systems that it indirectly owned this company. They were on their way to the Antarctic. One of their competitors had found huge mineral and ore deposits. Their spies in that company had managed to get the closely guarded secret and hence they were being sent there to extract the minerals and ores before their competitor could. On the way they were caught in a storm that seemed to be coming in from all sides.... Miho knew that matched her first experience with this mysterious island. The storm had gotten closer and closer until they were all thrown around mercilessly as though they were inside a spinning washing machine. When it stopped, they found their ship beached in the shallow waters near this island. They could not figure out where they were as none of the navigation equipment seemed to work. Also their satellite and radio communications were not working. The ship had suffered some major damages which would take them days if not a week or two to repair. The boss on the ship was a no nonsense guy and he did not like to waste any time. So he divided the crew of 30 into 2 parties of 15 each. One to explore the island and look for minerals and ores on the island and the other to fix and repair the ship. Luckily for them all the machinery and equipment had been tied down very well to handle the rough seas they were expected to face and had survived the storm more of less intact. So they off loaded the mining equipment and the armored personnel carriers into mini inflatable barges to take them ashore. The boss told the off-shore party to break up into 3 groups of 5 each and go and explore the island and scan for minerals and ores. They all had heard rumors of what had happened to people who disobeyed commands given by bosses in this company. So no one said anything and they simply obeyed him. They had bulldozed through the jungle killing anything and everything they encountered. They were all shocked to see animals and birds they had never seen before and just did not want to take any chance.... Miho's vein in her forehead started to throb when she heard that... Her anger was building up. She looked at me and that told me we needed to find the other 2 teams ASAP. At least following them will not be hard as they had left a trail of destruction behind them to follow. Miho again touch the bad guy in his head and this time he slid into blackness as he lost his consciousness. We carried him and the other 4 unconscious men to the armored personnel carrier and locked them in. They all would be unconscious until Miho woke them up again. Miho said we needed to split up. She asked me to go back to the hyper plane and protect the orc villages from air while she and the wolf followed the trail of destruction to the other 2 teams. I regretted that I had forgotten to pack the drones too that we could have easily used to locate the 2 groups and I cursed myself again. Miho said it was okay and not to worry about it. We parted ways with me running towards the hyper plane and Miho and the wolf running towards the other 2 groups. The story will continue form the next render...

This has been another crash and frustration filled render. I have been trying to create the scene and render it for the past 3 days. Finally just got done with it. Because of this I have not been able to comment on your uploads for the past 3 days. Will get to them shortly. I like the way I managed to place and pose Miho, orc, wolf, me and the bad guy. I had started with my previous scene. Saved parts of it as scene subsets and then deleted those parts so that I could work with just the characters loaded. Otherwise the view port would just hang if I tried to edit anything on the scene or change pose on any of them. Finally after finishing the posing, I merged back the scene subsets for the final render. Though this is a scene with many elements, I think Miho still stands out

I have re-rendered this. I was experimenting with the hair and fur materials and I think I managed to get far better results than before under the Octane 3.08. So updated Miho's hair and the wolf's fur. Now Miho's hair shows highlights even for this light colored hair under bright overall lighting and the wolf's fur looks lively. Also I added a bit more tilt to Miho's head to add to the interaction between her and the orc. Still faced multiple PC crashes while doing this, but I am stubborn that way.

I have re-rendered this again. Didn't like the way Miho's eyes were looking and the hair I think had too much highlights. Also the color of her hair was looking a lot lighter than I started this series with. So reduced the highlights on the hair and eyes and darkened the hair a bit.
