Long-time Electronics Engineering Technician and Draftsman/CAD-man. Doing 3D rendering for fun to enjoy some limited free time when I can.
I enjoy following a lot of artists here and really appreciate feedback and any suggestions on how to make my renders better!
Self-Built i7 8-core liquid-cooled machine running 64-bit OS
upgraded to a GTX 960 from QUADRO 2000
the $$ I saved by only upgrading to the GTX960 went into RAM : Now running 32G (up from 16G)
UPDATE : FEB 2019 : Purchased 2nd GTX 960 to install and run .. let's see how much more my render times go down :)
UPDATE : MAY 2019 : Here are 2 links to my OLD OLD OLD files I recently found and uploaded : http://starfrontiers.com/HouseRules/ (short story work-in-progress .pdf is in upper left corner) and my original WDC IS BEING ATTACKED files : http://www.starfrontiers.com/Rangers/
UPDATE : JAN 2023 : Purchased a single Nvidia RTX 3060 12G to replace both GTX 960s. GREAT Decision! Single GPU allows me to still use the PC and my RAM is down from 32G (MAX) to 7G while the GPU renders within seconds/minutes. I can also use the iRay Quick View as well and still use the PC.

Nicely done. Yup, observing animals and birds can give insight to how they behave.

Thank you! .. I was wanting to 'divot' the sand where the larger one was stepping. I think I have the IMPACT add-on. but may see if HEXAGON will import to allow me to compress the sand due to his weight.
