Description

We are waiting for the Thunderbirds, but no word. Eventually this guy showed up. Not sure if he was in the program or just helping to keep the crowd interested while performing weather recon. To be hones, the weather was NOT cooperating. Reported ceiling was 2000 - 3000 feet. OK, they can fly in this sort of thing, but no too many people will be able to see the maneuvers. Not my best collage work, but this is extreme zoom-in. Not much detail going on here. I do admire the old A-10s. They do what they are supposed to do and are darn good at it. Enjoy; thanks for viewing. Aloha Snackbar!

In Seattle's harbour, long years ago, I saw some Navy planes put on a very enjoyable exhibition. Nothing spectacular, just flying back and forth at low altitude. Skyhawks (?), if memories serves. I took a roll of photographs with a telephoto lens. All in all, a pleasant if uneventful afternoon. Your simple, well composed render brings it back to me.

I remember the A-10 from several airshows i went to, and they always gave an impressive low altitude display.
