Description

and yet another found girl in my runtime. I decided that she would be a fae, right off the rose petal, as it were. Here you see her in front of her home in Fae Valley. Since the tree is large and has a lot of fully leafed branches, it's hard for any direct sunlight to get through and cast a shadow. and of course, I was playing with shaders.

Tons of textured brick and old floral growth make their presence known in this very well done darkly shaded image.

The wings and colors are a wonderful contrast to the background. Well done.

She is a real sweetheart and wonderful discovery from your runtime! A fine pose you placed her in and an interesting setting as well! Sometimes it is difficult to get shadows. I run into that problem a lot myself! A very nice image!

I like the way she flirts with the camera. A sweet character. However, the texture of the soil confuses me a little bit. It looks very pixelated ...

I STILL don't know what a "shader" is: I read you and Rod talk about your techniques, and I have no idea how they work! It's fascinating though, about how light works with trees, and just the whole concept of 3D lighting: It's so different from anything I've done. In any case, this is a big stone castle (I know it's a house, but it feels very medieval), and the dark shadow is broken up by Michico's brilliant illumination, like her outfit has luminescence (the way some insects do). She glows. And the tree is formidable. I like the contrast of her against that huge structure. I'm expecting a 12th Century knight to walk out and shout, "what'd you do with the scissors???" (Yeah, like they asked that in those days...) You've always had a keen eye for contrasts, and this has a terrific contrast between Michico and that formidable facade. (And she's barefoot---pretty ballsy in such a rustic surrounding!)
