I glad you made the mistake. We get two for one. These are so good, Nicolai. You really should be selling them.

Ambling through the galleries here today and thought, where are the children ? then the penny dropped - mystery solved, aha ! thank you Nikolay...
Whether walking the dog or watching children at play, it's all a relevant part of life for now... but then they all grow up so soon and then they are gone for a while, who knows where they are ? I cannot believe, that your beautiful daughter had passed away, in 2012... but time - however long ago, never changes the fact of the unbelievable sadness, surrounding me, so similar to your situation, without solutions or so it seems.
Your art here today, is a reminder of our children, when they were young and innocent and so wonderfully executed by you, just a fleeting moment in our lifetime.

The picture you intended is luminous---the women and children are surrounded by "halos" of light. And even though their features are somewhat blurred, they stand out beautifully. (THey're 'blurred' by your texturized light, color, form, etc.) The deep blue-gray of the trees are a wonderful contrast to all that gold and yellow. And the overhanging boughs (on top) are a perfect framing. This has an oil-paint feel. And, again, you've textured space itself....Beautiful work---the poignance of mother with child isn't lost at all: They, and their radiant light, are the centerpiece of this image.
The 'mistaken' image (above the intended image) is a mysterious journey into shadows, with the two walkers (and dog) flanked by a big blast of light, of golds and saturated yellows, and by an almost van gogh-like brushwork. THe shadows are wonderful. You have real contrast between light and dark here, open and enclosed. It's very suggestive. Wonderful piece, Nikolay (whether it's the one you wanted or not...)
