I'm picking up where I left off the last time...The deep shadows around this pelikan gives him intensity and 'presence'. He emerges out of the dark, and you give strong light to his head and beak, which are the focal point of the photograph. But you have the most delicate light on his wings---a beautiful deep gray, with different hues within. It's beautiful and almost ghostlike. And just a tiny part of the background seeps through---especially around his beak, giving a hint of the rest of the world. An introspective portrait, with a fierce eye, and beautiful hues and detailing. Very typical of your inner eye, Priska...
