Fantastic image!!!

Great image - nice pose and costume (and hair!). Grandpa should have had a couple of bottles of booze in there as well to warm himself up while hunting the vampires! I sympathise with your troubles; I had a similar experience of crippling pain - but that was with a petrforated ulcer and they whipped me into surgery before it had a chace to push me out of this world!

Very funny and well done. An invitation to dream.

I sure hope things clear up on their own and surgery won't be necessary. Take care and you can always do the Thanksgiving meal later.

Was the girl's grandfather's Abraham van Helsing? Cool work!
Oh dear, I'm terribly sorry for your complaints. Thanksgiving without turkey, that's sad. I wish you a speedy recovery and hope that you feel better soon.

Super job on this bit of art, and hope that your bowel problems dissipate into nothing without surgery.

very good pose and possible treasures.

Very compelling illustration. I like the use of blacks to our right, and the POV is very interesting. It brings us right into the action without us being too close to appreciate the atmospheric details. The pose does seem a bit uncomfortable, though, as if kneeling on one knee would be more natural. Nevertheless, this is very solid and you can sense that she's a person of action, even in a quiet moment like this. Thanks for sharing with us.

In your description, you talk about your sudden stomach attack, and how it ruined your holiday. I remember that, and was very relieved when it subsided. I hope your body is through doing that to you!
Your image illustrates the idea of an old crusty attic really well, with intense light surrounded by deep darkness. And I love that chest with holy water, pieces of wood, a bible and cross, and a huge wooden mallet, etc etc, Even a doll's head in bright white. Your model is all in black to harmonize with the darkness all around. But with great intense light on her face. You use stone effectively as always, and an old tapestry, and cobwebs etc. Really well done, with just the right outfit for the woman: It's stylish, and it looks like it's what she would wear to an old sooty attic...Dramatic and mysterious, 2 things you do with real panache...

Cool work.
