Description
Floating into the room, came the sound of the flute, and the saz, and the drum - a soft thud, a lively melody, and a drone. A bright light shone between my fingers. And as I opened the palm of my hand, there she was, a doll, a beauty, all in sheer silk, turning and sweeping and fluttering to the sound of the music. It seemed like hours but over in an instant. My mouth was dry and I realized that I hadn't stopped smiling in wonder for the past ten minutes. I crawled back into my bed, but lay awake til morning...too excited to sleep, too afraid to close my eyes and turn this bit of happiness into a dream.
