Beautiful image! I used to have a 1973 Lincoln Mark IV, and the shifter collar broke, but I couldn't afford to have it repaired right away, so I had it towed to a mechanic, and instructed them to manually shift the transmission into Drive (it was in Reverse) and to disconnect the neutral safety switch. I must've driven it for at least a week or so that way. I had to carefully plot where I was going, so that I could either pull into and out of a parking space without backing up, or that the surface was flat so that I could push the car backwards across the lot, then I'd get in, hit the gas, hit the brake, turn the key, and the car would start and go right into gear. The owner of the company I worked for saw me one day, pushing the car backwards, and asked what I was doing. I told him that the shifter was broken. He had the company bookkeeper give me an advance on my salary and took it out in small increments over several weeks, so that I could go have the car fixed!

I hate it when that happens! It's worse when your buddies just sit on the roof and laugh at you! LOL
Well done and fun scene, my friend! (Probably not much fun for the guy with the car...😜)
