Description
LOTR was a hugely influential book in my childhood, and still ranks as an all time great read. Full of subtlety and subtext that anyone who knows it from the rather "wham-bam" movie adaptations will miss out on. One of the most glossed over and reduced characters is that of Eowyn, a thoroughly modern independant woman unfortunately reduced to rather simpering status by Mr Jackson.
Anyway, she features in one of my favourite scenes, the charge of the Rohirrim and the slaying of the lord of the ringwraiths, so here is my take on it. ..

Absolutely one of my favorite LOTR characters, books and movies. One tough lady, and I loved how she took down the Nazgul king. Awesome work!
