It's been over a year since I opened the program, but over the past few days I've managed to carve out about 10 to 30 minutes in the mornings to mess around with Poser Pro 10. Despite there being over a year of virtual dust on everything, I kept all my old scenes and didn't uninstall any assets. That makes things easy to go back to, as all I have to do is open up an old save file. I do have to remember how to do stuff in Poser though. I'm self taught and learned how texturing, lighting, and shader nodes work largely through trial and error. I'm sure there are more efficient ways to do things, and I'm going to try and hunt down some manuals or how-to docs. I'd especially like to learn how to use dynamic cloth (that's meshes that actually behave like real cloth so that they drape and hang over other objects) because while using conforming clothing is easier, it's hard to find stuff that fits and is time consuming to fiddle with. I'd also like to get better with lighting. I liked the model in my Taylor image that I decided to do a portrait render of her, similar to my previous portrait images, Lira and Devan which are almost a decade old. Holy cow.
