Description
Captured 5/16/2010 on the grounds of the beautiful Muckenthaler Cultural Center in beautiful Fullerton, California.
This was a two day show featuring custom cars on one day and elegant autos the next.

A treat of antique proportions, there's both corporeal mass here and pure light and hue. These things had mass, but they also seemed so brittle, so delicate; like an automobile version of 'ballet'. The top shot shows off its beautiful front-profile angle (and you've lined the car top with the line of the trees). The middle shot gives the glassy, brassy front, with those thin tires: They really look thin compared to today's. And the final shot shows an engine which is so neat and uncrowded. (I assume that's the engine.) Sweet light and lines. This and the previous montage---the 1911 Ford Model T---make beautiful period pieces. (In the Model T shots, you caught it like it was a grand jewel. It's stunning.) Real beauty shots, Harry. I would love to see these in person...
