Hi all. Posting to say hi and happy holidays to all and just to let you know I'm alive. I've been busy with some projects other than 3D art. "The Tor" has begun work on more music and I'm trying to get some things in line for a personal musical expression. It's turning into a concept album (big surprise eh?! LOL). Not to mention dealing with what the holidays bring and lacking some motivation at the end of a long day of work in liquor retail. This time of year is what pays the bills for much of the rest of the year. The most recent project is in the post production/mixing phase after spending 3 days of setting up and recording plus a bit of rehearsing and arranging on the fly with the musicians. It is jazz after all. All was recorded at the piano player's house. After some listening back and analysis I was very happy of the isolation we achieved recording this in piano player's living room.. The wood and hard walls added some live ambiance without muddying things up. Luckily the piano was covered well to minimize leakage of the drums in the room. A makeshift baffle of miter board and a quilt helped to isolate the upright bass too. When the project is all finished ya'll will certainly hear about here. Meanwhile here's a set of four montages so you can get a sense of the set up and meet the players. The Dino Workshop webinar went very well and special thanks to Rod S for making an appearance, I hope you found it informative. It was my first time speaking for such a thing. After talking with the main host, Paul Bussey, we'll be putting together another showcase and how to, but about my other favorite reptilians, dragons. I have a couple prehistoric images I can post that actually are very new Nov/Dec and hopefully I can find some time to make another pair of holiday images for winter and the new year. However, if not, Happy Holidays and Happy New Year to all. In the early weeks of 2019 I hope to resume to some normalcy and catch up on everyone's art work and Rod's girls of T.N.T. That makes me think too, that Rod should find the bass player's name for this jazz project pretty cool, or at least interesting :) Thanks for stopping by.
